New user FAQs gone?

He's dead right. They've not been posted to news.announce.newusers in ages,
and they're not on rtfm.mit.edu. What has happened to them?

Does anyone keep a list of who maintains which FAQ, so that if FAQ
maintainers disappear the FAQs don't just disappear? Should such a
list be kept?

For instance, Detweiler's lost his account. Does that mean his
non-fruitcake FAQs will vanish? At the moment they're being
robo-posted, but what happens next?
