I will suggest the following for all those wanting to print FAQ.
"Permission to print/duplicate FAQ in parts or in full may be
granted by FAQ Maintainer dependent on certain provisions,
including:
o Prior written permission from FAQ Maintainer
o No changes in the text (additions/deletions/editing)
o Full credit to the author/FAQ maintainer w/ email address
is explicitly stated.
o Version #, archive name, posting date etc are clearly identified
For further details & specific provisions please contact the FAQ
maintainer of FAQ you may be interested in."
----------------------------------------------------------------
You think duplication of FAQ without permission is bad, imagine
having your machine listed in an example on how to use 'telnet'
and getting several unauthorized login attempts daily!
[after running tcpd/extensive logs & some hair pulling ]
I: (excuse me) but why are trying to signon to this machine
every single day for last 10 days.
Unknown: Gee, what machine ? what is signon ?
I: I notice in the log files you are doing 'telnet blah@blah2'
Unknown: oh, so it is working ! Great!
I: (umm) That is what I am asking... 'why are you doing telnet
blah@blah2...
unknown: It is in this great book I bought, it said I can telnet
to blah@blah2. I try it every morning...
I: give me the book name & publisher, if you can. I will appreciate
if you do not telnet to machines you don't have permission to...
[you get the picture...] :)
