In the rec.games.miniatures newsgroup I keep the painting FAQ,
someone else keeps a game-specific FAQ, another person is compiling
a general gaming FAQ, someone posts convention information, and
yet another individual took over a list of products pertinent to the
hobby. Our solution was to reference one anothers' works, I append
the products list to every other posting of my FAQ, and have
encouraged the other writers to get involved with this mailing
list and other FAQ-maintenence information and resources.

My suggestions: Get ahold of the poster of the groups and mailing
list information and either xorrespond posting dates with a
reference included in your FAQ pointing to the list (i.e. you and
the other individual both post on the 15th of the month and you
`advertise' the list).
Or, ask if they'd send you a copy of the list, updated, a day or
two before you post your FAQ, then append it with full credits to
the compiler of the list.

Working together when more than one person posts informational
periodicals to the same group avoids headaches and creates a
friendly environment for poster and reader alike.

Just my 50th of a buck...
