Good question. Probably deal with new media on a case by case basis.
Unless of course you can find an identifier that means "USENET news feeds
but not type X news feeds". But that's what this debate is all about.

As I said, it was just a suggestion. Obviously some don't like it, so
unless there is other support for it, I withdraw it.

I suspect this debate will never be resolved until someone can give a
iron-clad 100% verifiable way to distinguish what USENET normally does
from what Walnut Creek does. Until someone does this, we are likely to
lose the baby when we throw out the bathwater.
