Is there a FAQ on how to format postings?

As more inexperienced users come on the net, we've been getting more and
more badly formatted submissions to sci.med.aids. If there's a way to make
something hard to read, we've probably seen it.

It might be useful to have a document which would explain to people what a
proper posting should look like, and explain the mechanics of how to create
one on various systems with various editors.

The current FAQ's that I'm aware of address content, but not format to any
great degree. Am I missing something, or has one never been created?

Obviously it would not be able to cover every possible combination of
editors and systems, but overview instructions for vi, emacs, Word, TPU,
XEDIT, and the proprietary software on AOL and Prodigy would probably cover
the majority of postings.

Has anyone created such a thing? Any comments?
