Why do I write FAQs? Simple: (1) to improve the signal-to-noise ratio in the
newsgroups to which they are posted, and (2) to educate people.
Why does [redistribution without authorization] concern me?
(1) I want to ensure that the latest version possible is included in the
collection
(2) I want to know what collections the FAQ is in, and how that collection can
be obtained (so that it can be a service to the FAQ readers)
(3) I want to ensure that the FAQ is included in the collection without
modification and that all of the contributors to the FAQ remain
acknowledged
(4) I want to ensure that the collection is compatible with the FAQ. Just as
the Disney FAQ does not appropriately belong on a collection with XXX
graphics, so too the s.c.j information has incompatibilities.
