There's an uncovered case related to UIDL command.

If UIDL (with no message argument) is executed and no mail is available the RFC doesn't specify what must reply the command.

Some servers (like SendMail or QMail) return:
+OK
.

And Mercury/32 (I only found this one) returns:
-ERR No messages.

Some clients think -ERR (from Mercury/32) means the server doesn't support this command ( -ERR unknown command) and throw an error telling this server doesn't support leaving mail on server.
