I do have a problem I'm trying to figure out. I am a dog walker and transport dogs in my car. A lady wants me to walk her dog but lives in an area where there are ticks and has found ticks on her dog from her back yard. I'm concerned about ticks hiding on her dog and dropping off in my car, attaching themselves to the other dogs. Can eggs be transmitted from dog to dog, can they fall off in my car and hatch. Can  eggs or ticks or nymphs or larva to my car or house. I think you can tell where I am going with this. The owners of some of the dogs I walk that would be exposed to the dog who lives in the tick area do not want to put tick preventative on their dogs. I'm really confused about the dangers this dog could pose because my understanding is that it's impossible to be sure a dog is not carrying ticks or eggs, etc. since you can't see them easily..........apparantly they can hide easily on a dog.

I sure hope you can help me with this. All the places I've searched don't give me enough information specific to my concerns.

Thank you so much and I hope you can help me with this.
