I have bought a Powermac G4 in hope of eventually building up a personal studio.I have had lessons and would like to work with ProTools. What I want, is to be able to record a band without renting extra equipment. Now, pro tools free will not work on Mac osX 10.2. and pro tools 6 Requires hardware. This is where I'mstuck. I don't know what to buy to accomplish my goals (I ain't no millionaire either). I thought maybe the M-Box and then a 16 track controller console and then the mics and stuff....
