I used the commands in your frequently asked questions an none worked .  Why? When I tried printing to file.

sed '/FlowersAS2/G' test.txt
/usr/xpg4/bin/sed 's/.$//' test.txt >test.log
sed 's/\x0D$//' test.txt
sed 's/^*//;s/[ ^]*$//' test.txt > test.log
I am trying to take out all of the white spaces in the lines and file.
I am also trying put in lines to the file.  How do I print the test.txt to the test.log file?
