I believe you can as well.  I just got a ticket for it and the police officer did not agree with me.  I then told him then what does 'Left turn on green arrow only; mean?  He did not say anything

I also just got a ticket for it. I guess they put the signs that say "No turn on red arrow" up because they have to much money. If the law never changes why put up signs?

I definitedly agree that red arrow is for left turn protection only, it is not to stop you for turning left when there is no coming traffic.  We have spent too much time waiting, why we have to stop and wait on red while it is perfect safe to turn?? California wake up! There are at least 21 other state allow left turn on red when there is no coming traffic.

this is old and out dates but I can't believe there are ppl like that.

I don't understand the wait for green or left turn on green arrow only.

but I do know that it's illegal to turn left on a RED arrow.  If it was legal, they wouldn't put the red arrow.

Some intersection have a green and yellow arrow lights and no red.  That you can turn.

just because the cops didn't know what Left turn on green arrow only doesn't mean you can turn on a red arrow.
