Hi, turned off my truck and it wouldn't restart.  93-dodge-Dakota 3.9L 4x4. From prior history the fuel pump was (again) replaced.  So this was done again.  The relays have been replaced too. I think it is acting like a short.  I do not know what else to do.

On the drivers side of the truck under the hood, ther is a wiring harness. In side the wiring harness there are 3 red wires they are just fused together with sater. If these wires are not togther than the truck won,t start. You also need to look at the crank position sensor, the factor made them with a plastic bracket and if it broke it will not run.

check wiring harness that runs to buss fuses and relays on drivers side inner fender, you will have to remove 2 mounting screws and a plastic-flared pin connecter by the battery, this only to make easier the removal of the tape from the harness. you will have to remove all the tape from the wiring harness 2 wires are spliced that feed power thru the auto shutdown relay which also powers up the fuel pump and the ignition coil. these wires are red with a white stripe
