There is an organization I'm in that saves aye-ayes and the rain forest from extinction it is very good at convincing people about how special these primates are. if you would like to know more please email AAAgetit@aol.com.

There are many groups that take them into captivity to protect them. I myself am attempting to start an aye-aye preservation group, following up on the research of the eleven that were taken in from Madagascar in the mid-sixties. And "Monkeylover," you'd be surprised how many people care for the strangely lovable aye-aye. It is, after all, the largest nocturnal primate in the world right now, and easily the strangest. It would be a shame to lose something like that.
