I just adopted a puppy from a shelter. She is very happy and playful around my other dog, but is very shy around us. Is this normal? She is 3 months old.

Yes this is normal. But you need to stop that. Huskies are pack dogs. You need to be head of the pack. Your puppy needs to know that you are head of the pack not your other dogs. If you don't correct this now you will have trouble for a long time. Read up on Husky and wolf breeds.

A AGREE TO AN EXTENT, BUT REMEMBER THAT YOUR DOG CAME FROM A SHELTER, SO YOU DONT KNOW WHAT ITS BEEN THROUGH. IT MAY BE THAT IT FEARS HUMANS FROM IT RECENT EXPERIENCES. THIS IS OK THOUGH. IT IS YOUNG ENOUGH THAT IT WONT TAKE LONG FOR IT TO BEGIN TO TRUST YOU. BE GENTLE WITH IT AND OFFER LOTS OF REWARDS FOR GOOD BEHAVIOUR. SIBERIANS ARE DOGS THAT DO BEST WITH POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT. NOT PUNISHMENT. WHEN IT IS BEING FEARFUL OF YOU, DONT GIVE IT THE ATTENTION THAT YOU NATURALLY WANT TO GIVE IT. IT WILL LEARN THAT IT GETS REWARD FOR DISPLAYING FEARFUL SYMPTOMS. BE AVAILABLE FOR THE DOG, AND LET IT COME TO YOU AS IT GETS MORE ADAPTED TO ITS NEW ENVIORNMENT. IT LIKELY KNOWS THAT YOU ARE HEAD OF THE PACK ALREADY. THEY LEARN THAT QUICKLY.
