hey my car is smoking but my engine temperature is still at normal and I asked a mechanic what it was and he said he wasnt sure that he will have to put it in the shope to see what it is but then he wants to charge just to see what it is, or the problem. i now its something to do with my radiator cause i smell radiator fluid.

most probably blown head gasket.
est. about 750.00 or do it yourself
[4cylinder cost est] conservative at that.

I have a 1984 ford mustang gt, moter rebuilt about 15,000 miles .The motor has white smoke when I step on the gas,it also has black resido on the inside of the tailpipe.

why does a big cloud of smoke come out when i step on the gas from a stop light. It doesn't come out when im driving though.

I have a small amount of smoke getting out of my engine, by where you but the oil. "leaking out the gaps in the metal"

probably just a radiator pipe broken

we did have 2 new gaskets put on resentlymy car is smoking from the oil chamber or radiator and smells like burnt rubber

it most probaly is the vavle stem seals or could be your rings on your cylnders.

you're pretty lucky b/c mine started smoking and 2 minutes after i got out of the car, the hood was on fire!
