I have an ASRock K7VT2 mainboard and a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ CPU but i can only set the cpu frequency in BIOS at 100 and not at 133,so the cpu speed isn't 1.66 GH but 1.25 .
what should i do?

I have the same question, only with an xp 2400 cpu. There are two jumper settings on the mainboard ie 100 & 133mhz, but I'm unsure whether to reset to 133. Pete.

ok first of all get your motherboard manuals handy becouse your going to need them.

Now the FBS speed of a Athlon is 133mhz
wat u have to do is make sure your jumper is set to 133 and not 100. read them manual to tell u were the jumper is it should be under clock speed or something.............

Next! make sure u have the lastest version of Bios For your Motherboard... then in the bios set everthing up ad wat not

If none of this works dont worry just reset your computers Bios to the defaults and start over!!! make sure everything is as it should be. Pini.

The jumper setting is just underneath the AGP slot on the board.  he default setting is 100 so you need to move it over to 133.

Page 6 of the manual!

Hope this helps,

Graeme

Try to reboot several times, you'll get a boot failure message and then you can enter the BIOS again
