Beware of breeders that sell the smallest dogs for outrageous prices. 'Teacup' chihuahuas are a description, not a different or rarer breed. These tiny dogs tend to have more health problems and be much more fragile. I have a 2.5 pounder and a 5 pounder, the little one costs me a lot more in vet bills and etc. but is no more loving and loyal than the larger one. I knew she was going to cost me more, but I fell in love with her and accepted that. I wouldn't have gone looking specifically for a tiny dog. A good quality dog with papers should run 300 - 500, a show quality animal will cost more but should definitely come with a guarantee that if it turns out to be unfit for the show ring as it grows up, you have the right to return it for replacement or refund.

Have check with Love&Care Pet Farm in ST. Peters Mo. The phone number is 636-240-3647. I just adopted a 12wk old fawn colored male Chi. I am very happy! Not to mention, the price was very reasonable!

If you don't mind me asking, what is the going rate? I am looking for a smaller sized one but it appears that all of them that I have seen are 800 to 3500 which is crazy! Thanks!

I don't know if you found your chihuahua yet, but I know of a great breeder that should be having pups this week. She is in House Springs, MO. Not far from Six flags.

I have a 4 month old teacup, he is a rare blue fawn and ACA registered, I got him from a breeder in Fruitland MO, which is about an hour and a half south of St Louis. He was only $250. I am looking to find a female to mate him with for one female puppy to give to my mother.

Hi if anyone has any information about chihuahua breeders in st. louis or if you got a chihuahua in the area could you please email me there number or any information you might have - i jus want a little dog for a pet not for show or anything my 16yr old yorkiepoo died of old age and i want another doggie under 5 pds. I got a male fawn chihuahua with akc papers. The breeder told me that he would be 4 pounds when he grew up and that his ears would stand up with age. She was a fake. He got to be 14 pounds and his ears didn't stand. he was $800 and he was rip off. Ask for a pedigree if you want what you are paying for!

Every time you buy a dog from a breeder or a pet store you are sentencing a dog in a shelter to death. PLEASE, go to your local shelter and adopt from there. Spay and neuter. Brian

I have a 1 year old Fawn Male Chihuahua for sale. "Scooby" is an apple head and looks like the taco bell dog. I need to sell him as soon as possible because I am afraid my 3 year old son will hurt him. Scooby is AKC registerable I do have papers but have not registered him.
