How do you pronounce the name of the glassmaker Riedel.  I've heard it three different ways.

Like 'Needle', I got this from the Reidel Australian office and also from an official website. Same spelling as Reisling. IT is a German company, not French like many assume.

Riedel glassware is Reeeee-dle, like needle, and not Reye-dell like Ridell High in Grease

if Riedel is a german name, it would be pronounced ree-del. 'ie' is pronounced like the ea in tea. 'ei' sounds like eye.

It is Reeeee DEL.  I have met the man of Riedel Crystal, Charles Riedel.

Reeee-dle, sort of like Reeee-sling (Riesling) wine.

It's pronounced "Ree-duhl"  It's a german name and in german you pronounce the second vowel (in this case "e").
