So far, the only way I found to compress a .mpg file is to use WinRAR free soft. As an example, a 67MB .mpg file goes down to around 41MB after being compressed with WinRAR.

You can use nero burner for DVD rom. In which you can select the option ' Copy DVD videos to CD' and there reduce the size of the file as per your requirements and then make a VCD...
