I downloaded the same thing, but at first I went through manually and deleted a lot of the files. Now though the scanner does not detect the virus though a lot of things are still screwed up. For one my System folder pops up everytime I open Internet Explorer, and that takes a really long time too. Help would be appreciated.

P.S. I actually tried to redownload the virus so that I could take it off completely but the popup didn't come up for me to download it.

Go into the start menu and when you find AOL Instant messenger click it.. it will give you a list of options and among these options there is an uninstall AIM.  Click it.. but before you do, save everything and close or it won't uninstall.

I know how annoying those things can be. I have gotten most of them and I have gotten every single one of my profile. Just go to the website and it says remove all adware and click on that. then it tells you what to do. I'm positive that the website (when you go to it again) won't give you another virus! I'm very good with these kind of viruses/worms so trust me on that!
Sincerely,

ok guys, me and like 10 of my friends had it and we uninstalled, and it fixed our problem. Heres what you do... go to START, and AOL Instant Messanger. then go over to Uninstall AOL. it will tell you step by step what to do. Once you get AIM deleted, you go to the AIM site and get a new sn and download AIM. then when you go to sign on, just type in your old sn.. the one you use commonly now, and it should all be gravy baby!

If you are a little more techy, you can kill the av.exe process, remove the entry from the RUN subfolder in your registry, and delete the file C:\Windows\av.exe -- that's all that rsaisp software does.  It might bug out if the company changes the location of the registry entry, so don't always expect that RSA sotware to work.. that's all I can really say.

Ok, first of all, buddypicture.net doesn't show anything because its tricking you into thinking its doing something, like loading the page, when instead it is loading the virus. Also... common sense, people: Don't go to the same site that gave you the virus to "remove" it!! That's stupid! It probably lies when it said it removed it from your system.
Also: Macs suck. Windows sucks. Use Linux.

http://www.rsaisp.com/software.asp worked for me. DON'T go back to buddypicture.com or whatever unless you're stupid and want MORE adware. If a link looks suspicious, use common sense and DON'T click on it. AdAware doesn't pick it up by the by. Although it IS a great tool to find and remove any other ad/spyware. I suggest everyone get it and use it FREQUENTLY. And to everyone dissing on the OS's who cares? They all have their faults, no OS is better than the other. As long as you get your updates everything should work fine. I've used Windows since 3.1 was out and I haven't had too many problems that couldn't be fixed.

What I did to aVoId any virus is, I put the arrow on the link part and see what the web address is then i type it in without the "www." on Google or any search engine and if it's a virus, all these links come up showing how to get rid of the virus it gives you. That's for future reference everyone! So think before you start clicking on things you dont know about! Thank you.

This is what i did, and it worked, but there might be a different way, going to the site www.buddypicture.net/remove.htm or something like that, i don't konw..

In order to remove this "virus", it is necessary to delete the files from your computer in "program files" most likely.  The problem with this is that it won't let you delete it because every time you start your computer, it opens up, causing it to be difficult to delete.  You must go through DOS to delete before you boot your computer up.  Typing "RD" in DOS will "remove a directory".  But, in order to know the full extent of what was loaded onto your computer, you must do a full system file search by date.  In order to do this, you must know the rough time that the file was created.  Then you can find all the files that were created at that exact time and they are part of the virus.  Good luck...

Folks, I encourage everyone to download the software "spybot" and the free version of Zonelabs Firewall.  These can help protect you from these now all too common occurrences.  Subscribe to an anitivirus software for the ultimate protection.  Hackers are loving how gullible people are becoming.  Search for the mentioned software at google.com.

HEY! i just got the virues like 5 minutes ago! Norton antivirus picked it up and deleted the file. the virus is a trojan meaning its widley spread and the data loss is intermediate. if u have a virus scan, (ie: Norton) just scan ur computer and and delete it, dont quarantine it! it'll only make things worse! another problem is is the Whoaaa...look what i found here. it takes u to a site called www.talkstocks.com it downloads a whole bunch of "unwanted material" just beware of suspicious links!

OK, u could use system restore.
2)  Search for the file and delete it
3)***go to control panel, add/remove programs, delete AIM, reinstall it, and have a normal day!
4) get a new computer
5) get a new harddrive
6) pay me $250,000 to go to your house and remove it myself.  Ima hot 16yr old male from South California....L.A.!!
7) take Bill Gates to court
8) Make ur own virus!!
.....not a real one, but works better dan one......diz is how....(i did it at my lil sis. skool.....works great......
a) go to MS-DOS, [u research the commands on ur own, get a book from barnes and noble or something, i don't feel like writing an essay]
b) mess around with the autoexec.bat program, (diz is what what starts ur computer so u wont have to write a million commands to start windows, basically) re-configure it, add stuff to it, delete stuff.  Save it on a floppy, NOT ON UR COMP!!
then clear everything u did, and then type exit.
c)  go to ur skool, insert the floppy, go to MS-DOS, open file from floppy on MS-DOS, save the configuration on the skool computer.  Remove floppy.
d)  share the file among the network of computers.
e) shut down.....see if they reboot..if dey do normally....u suck....i did it myself, so i know it works.  and this is where real hackers, umm...no im not one....fa real, honestly.....start making viruses, dey just create them...insert commands to make the computer do what u want them to do.  See?  its not so hard to hack into a bank...just make it do wha u wanted it to do.....lol...
