I have been through hell with my 94 grand caravan. Between The Transmission going out and shops trying to nuke my wallet to fix it. now that I have got it back it started backfiring and running terrible, no matter what the speed unless you barely touch the gas pedal. I have checked every wiring harness and vacume line I can find. What could be causing this problem it ran perfect before it went to the transmission shop?

check rotor , distributor cap, and dist wires. also, if this has a mitsubishi computor, it could be suspect. however, not enough input here for good diagnosis. did it set for long time, out of comission? could be bad gas. knock or ping? many different sensors can cause simular problem. check the old standby stuff, dist cap etc. get codes read if that doesnt help.
