In separating liquids which is best, distillation or paper chromatography

chromatography is best for the solids.
for the liquid it's better to use fractional distillation, the separation possibility of some column can make the disstillation can separate two components of 1 degree C of boiling point difference.

I think that if you are trying to separate two liquids-e.g oil and water you can boil them off. water will evaporate, but the oil won't
