You need to get your cat to the vet right away.  It seems that the growth has been there for quite some time. Anytime you see something, however small, you should always call your vet and make an appointment...and keep it.  I'm sorry your cat is having so much trouble.  If there is a worry about cost re the vet, talk it over with your vet once you have taken your pet.  Never ever stay away from the vet because you can't afford it.  They will work with you.  They're good people....they work with, and love, animals.  Good luck.
