Hairpray creates Ozone actually.  Chlorine and bromine atoms are what destroy the ozone.  Man-made chemicals (chloroflorocarbons (CFCs), used as a refrigerant and in aerosols; methyl bromide, used as a pesticide; halons, used in fire extinguishers; and methyl chloroform, used as a solvent in industrial processes) release chlorine atoms that are harmful to the Ozone.  Read: http://www.themouth.org/air/ozone.html

Ozone depletion occurs when the natural balance between the production and destruction of stratospheric ozone is tipped in favour of destruction. Although natural phenomena can cause temporary ozone loss, chlorine and bromine released from man-made compounds such as CFCs are now accepted as the main cause of this depletion.

Ozone depletion is the reduction in the amount of the ozone layer. This depletion is manly caused by chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) gases which are used in cooling substances such as refrigerators, air conditioners or fire extinguishers. These gases are only harmful when the molecules are broken down by UV radiation releasing chlorine. When released, one chlorine atom can destroy over 100,000 ozone molecules. This eventually depletes the ozone layer faster than it is naturally created.
