I have a six month old female kitten who is a real sweetheart, but i got another much smaller kitten so that she could have a playmate. The problem is that my older kitty keeps hissing at the little one what should i do

Ok i have a boy kitten he is 5-6 months old and i decided to get another cat to give him company but this kitten is a female and she is 5-6 months as well and he doesnt seem to mind her but he likes to beat her up more than anything (the boy is geting fixed this month but not for a few more weeks) im worried that he might try to have relations with her and im worried about kittens..so i wanna know how old kittens are b4 they start having sex?
