I'd say go for it - all piercings will increase the sensitivity of the area where they are placed - just think what ear-rings do... Please be careful about hygiene - both during the piercing and the healing period, and be careful to only use hypo-allergenic jewelry ( gold, stainless or niobium are all safe ) Make sure you use the right kind of needle ( with a point shaped like a hypodermic ) so it cuts through the flesh without stretching it, or you'll end up very sore. Don't be tempted to use too thin a gauge for the jewelry, as healing takes longer, and it can cut like a cheese-wire if it gets caught on anything. If in doubt, ask a reputable piercer for advice - they will be used to supplying the equipment to self-piercers, and will make sure it's properly sterilised. i say do the piercings....i pierced both my nipples, my tongue, my clit, my eyebrow, my ears, and my lips by myself and none of them got infected. i think doing piercings yourself is better than getting them professionally done so then u can stop and slow down if it starts to hurt too much.

Its called body jewelry.. u can find it cheap at Spencers, but I suggest buying from a piercer first bc you want real stuff..like 14 kt gold or sterling silver.. that way it wont get that infected.

I think getting your clit pierced is o.k. but you need to keep it clean or it will get infected. I want to get my tongue and naval pierced but my mom won't let me until i'm 18 and can go get them myself.

I do not have an answer, I do have a question. I have had my tongue pierced twice, my industrials pierced. I have my nipples pierced twice and my belly button as well. I so want to get my hood pierced. The way I want it is to get it pierced twice as well. Does it hurt?

I dont think you should do it yourself.. unless you can handle doing it.. my father and mother would freak out if i got piercings without their permission, i can hurt myself but i just cant pierce myself. I just go to someone professional who will pierce me.. Nomatter where you are there HAS to be someone. I got my nipples professionally done w.o. permission, it didnt hurt.. when i tried to do it myself i almost passed out cause it hurt so bad.. but its all up to you.. email me if u want Falling_Angel_Mama09@yahoo.com
