I'm a 43 year old adult skater.  I skate an hour a day, 3 or 4 days a week.  I've been working a lot lately on the loop and flip and I'm trying to learn the lutz.  Starting a couple of days ago, when I walk in flat street shoes, the heel of my right foot hurts a LOT.  Could this be a stress fracture?

More likely inflammation of connective tissues do to impact of jumping. It is most likely worst in the morning since sleeping or resting allows the tissue to contract. Wearing a foot brace that keeps the foot in a flexed position will help. In very bad cases you may need shots to reduce the pain. Surgery may be used. I prefer to work on my foot through stretching. It took a few months but I am fine and avoided dreaded shots or the knife. plantar f
