1. John Macarthur is credited with the founding of the wool industry in Australia. He imported sheep form Africa (a cross breed of Dutch & Spanish Merino I believe) to develope our famous Australian Merino. He was granted land at Parramatta and Camden were in fact Elizabeth Macarthur ran the farm as John had been summoned back to England due to his misbehavior. If those events were to happen with todays attitudes, it would be Elizabeth who would be consided the more important one in our history. 2. Captain first set foot on what is now know as "Australia" there in 1770. The bay is considered to be attractive because it sheltered their ships well from the open sea. 3.Mr blacksland, Mr Wentworth, and Mr Lawson.

john macarthur was a soilder for England then he got told to go to Australia and start up a farm and he is so important because he was the Governor of N.S.W in the end

John Macarthur was a a snobby bum and people don't appreciate the way he took all the blame for Elizabeth's hard work all her life she loved it but she was covered up and did not get what she deserved so therefore I believe that john Macarthur married to Elizabeth Macarthur only contributed by getting the land he did a few other things and helped a bit but I personally think he was a bit slack to Elizabeth he still loved her dearly and she loved him. you may call me an idiot but I still believe so whatever believe I don't care that's your opinion but I personally have studied Elizabeth Macarthurs live and Don't appreciate the way he got all the credit for Elizabeths hard work.

John MacArthur smelt really bad and he had a large noise in which he got his fair share of air. He was hit a truck carry ugly sticks at the age of four i really wish i was like johnny. He was very snoobby and a bum.

john MacArthur was a lieutenant in the nsw corps and came 2 Australia in 1790. his wife was Elizabeth and she did all his work on the farm when he was sent back 2 England 4 having a duel with his senior officer 2 await trial. when he came back he was put under arrest 4 disobeying 1 of governor Bligh'sregulations. he wasn't in there 4 long because he was set 3. i don't really like Mr MacArthur he was evil.:)

eh. for goodness sake. You guyz ... come on! I DO hate John Macarthur but Liz loved him alot. AND HELLO? HIM, A POP STAR? and yes, he does have a 'girl'actuallynamed Elizabet MacArthur. Them two (rather Liz) were the mother and 'father' cough cough of the sheep farming industry. And no, I do not think John woulda been hot.

John macarthur was born in 1767 and died in 1834. He is renound for establishing the wool industry in australia. He used a cross-breeded sheep to eventually get the aussie merino sheep. He was exiled to England for his involvment in the rum rebellion. He also had a really hot wife..

John Macarthur is important to Australia because he was the first one to Produce the wool industry. He is also the reason his wife is an Australian Hero. Sadly though he was sentenced to England and Elizabeth was to look after their nine Children. A few years later John was released from his sentenced, but stayed in England so that he show his Children around England (the children were sent to England to be educated). And Elizabeth ended up happy working away with the farm making an easy living for the family. So that is why. P.S I think he his really lovely because of his loving heart, he made his very own wife an Australian Hero.

John Macarthur was part of an army and soon retired. HE married Elizabeth Macarthur and soon had six children. They had lived in England and moved to Australia who they thought they would be safe.John had received 5000 ares of land by Governor and soon received 100 more because of improving the land
