I would like to extract the y location of a block in Autocad...

I would like to extract the y location of a block in Autocad using VB. I have an elem As Object which points to an Autocad block reference. I can extract attributes using the .getAttributes method but there doesn't seem to be a method for finding the location of the block. Any help?
