Though I have not yet had my bloodwork done for this pregnancy, I believe that I am going to need extra iron supplementation. My prenatal vitamin has 28mg Ferrous Fumerate and I picked-up an additional iron supplement that has Dried Ferrous Sulfate 200 mg(65 mg elemental iron), equivalent to 325 mg Ferrous sulfate per tablet. Now I am afraid to take both at the same time for fear of an overdose. Must I have a hematocrit before I determine the way to go?
