I recently bought a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 DVR from the united stated bur i leve in Montreal Quebec Canada and my cable provider wont active it.How can I hack it.

Si tu connais quelqu'un qui a un explorer 8000, tu peux essayer de le tester chez lui, mois ca a marche, j'ai achete un deuxieme explorer sur ebay et il fonctionne,
saudf qu'il faut que Videotron active ta machine, sinon je suis pret a te l'acheter..

J'aiacheté un Explorer 8000 sur Ebay de quelqu'un de Las Vegas. Vidéotron refuse de l'activer car le serial n'estpas dans leur base de données

que faire?

I'd like to know the same info, how can I use this SA Exploreer 8000.  Got it off ebay and TWC will not let me use it.
