I bought a Lotus plant about a year ago. I put the lotus container inside a huge ceramic water container. It blooms white flowers a few times. But every time when strong wind blows it will toppled. So I took the plant out and put some rocks in the container before replanting it again. It stopped flowering since. Even with fertilizers. The leaves look healthy though. Where did I go wrong?

Get some good top soil and plant it in that. Plant the Tubers just beneath the soil and cover with several inches of water.

I have also heard that kitty litter works well for these plants.  Epecially when they are starting out.

If you need some new seeds or tubors.  I have an acre pond full.
