wait it out until youre 15. if thats not possible, do it yourself. you wont need to numb it ( if you cant handle the sensation of a needle going through your body, then why the hell are you doing this?). make sure you have a NEW, STERILE needle and NEW, STERILE jewelry. mark the entrance and exit points for reference with a fine point sharpie. make sure the jewelry can fit in the space and you will have it pierced down far enough to hold the barbell. a hoop will be easy for cleaning, but will catch and rip on ANYTHING. i suggest a banana barbell- get an extra long size for the first few months. you will need to be able to move it around to clean.sterilize your skin with alcohol. you will want something to pinch and hold the skin in place. put the needle through your skin. there you go, dont be shy. follow with jewelry. WASH AT LEAST TWICE A DAY WITH ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP. DO NOT use anything with alcohol as an ingredient. it will reopen the wound. wash every time you think about it, as a matter of fact. if it is pierced crooked hold it in place with a band aid while it is healing.

It was quite simple, really. My parents told me that I couldn't get my bellybutton peirced and I REALLY WANTED IT. So, I grabbed my little brother and checked into a flophouse. Every day I cut off one of his fingers and put it on the doorstep with a note that said "I WANT MY NAVAL PEIRCED PLZ!!!11" until finally they consented.

Of course, I didn't know if they were bluffing just to get my brother back, so I locked him in a storage unit until I finally got the peircing.

If you do this, it is very important to make sure that you take care of the amputation wounds after cutting off your siblings' fingers. WASH AT LEAST TWICE A DAY WITH ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP. DO NOT use anything with alcohol as an ingredient. it will reopen the wound. wash every time you think about it, as a matter of fact. if it is cut off crooked hold the stump in place with a band aid while it is healing.

DON'T BE TEMPTED TO PEIRCE IT YOURSELF!!!!
It can be dangerous, and very painful, plus get infected very easily, if you don't get it right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had my belly pierced when i was 18, but my parents were still really furious, as they are really strict Christians.  I would recommend waiting til you are 15, as it is now becoming well known that if you have your belly pierced before your periods have become regular, it can make them a lot more painful than they would normally be(not sure what actually causes it).
In the meantime, do everything you can to prove to your parents that you are responsible and mature, and can make well informed decisions(eg. research body piercing thoroughly)  and just remember that even if they aren't happy, they will get over it eventually, just try to be sensitive to how they feel(like don't purposely show it off when they're around)good luck :)

ive just had my belly button pierced and i am 35 years old, i dont think age comes in to it, if you respect yourself and others with or without having your belly pierced does not make a difference, i think they are pretty and not sluttish as some people think, its how you portray yourself and image, but you should respect your parents wishes as my daughter will when she decides she is responsible enough to represent her self as a small adult, i definately recommend that you DO NOT pierce yourself. there are many places that are clean and qualified to do it for a small fee, its just like having your ears done....over in seconds.

Hey my parents told me that when I turned 14 that I could get my bellybutton peirced, but now that I'm 14 they they changed their mind and said I have to be 16. Anyway, I couldnt wait that long so I had my friend peirce mine today at school. It turned out really cute. I dont recommend it, but if you or a friend does it instead of a professional, make sure you use a sterile HOLLOW needle. It honestly hurts like a mother, but I promise you its worth it. Oh and dont wear a white shirt haha.

hey... im almost 15 and JUST had my belly-button pierced.... my dad had said no.. and my mommy said wait till yoor 15... well i just kept talking about it and asking... so finally she took me..

but i REALLY dont think that yoo should do it yoorself... just dont!.... if yoo do it yoorslef it WILL hurt more.. and it probably will get infected... and after yoor done it mite not look rite.. because to put it in the rite spot professionals do measure yoor belly-button.... and there are so many other things like seriously... its pretty complex..so my advice would be to just wait out yoor parents..

make yoor parents see that yoo are serious... the more yoo talk about it and the longer amount of time yoo want it... they'll relize that yoo are serious about getting it peirced... yoor mom will prolly cave eventually.. but i say just wait till yoor 15..

Oh my god. I asked my mom if I could get my bellybutton pierced. She said I can after I get a flat tummy, so I'm learning bellydancing to get it nice and flat (and bellydancing is awesome lol). Umm, wait till your 15, your mom gave you a very nice option, I had to beg like crazy. I'm turning 15 next month sooooo, lol. Umm, I've heard that they take a clamp, pull something out, stick a big metal thingie, and then shove a jewelry in (that sounds so fun lol), is it really as dangerous as stupid adults make it sound? Oh well, I don't think they look sluttish either, their really pretty, especially when wearing a bathing suit.
