My Jack is ready to give birth any day.  Today is day 57.  What is the usual time frame for Jacks?  This is our first litter of puppies.  I have read everything I can find and also checked with my vet.  Anything specific to the breed that will help?

I actually have a Jack Russell terrier that is on her 60th day.  My vet said they usually don't have them early.  I would take her temperature rectally. The vet said take it twice a day, once in the morning and evening.  See what her regular temp is...My dog's is around 99.5.  When it drops around 2 degrees she should have them within 24 hours.  My dog isn't showing signs of restlessness that they usually do or tearing up paper so I'm not sure.  This is our first time too.  Good Luck.
