we have just adopted from the SPCA, a female, 8 week old Border collie x blue healer.  The vet told us they are very smart, lovable, very protective and easy to train.  We live in the country and we are a retired couple in our 6o's who love the outdoors and we do a lot of camping.  We have 18 acres of trails and bush .  Could you give us some pointers on house training as well as our property.  We have always had a dog but never a border collie.  Your information would be very much appreciated.

Border collies are very active and need lots of interactivies, Also don,t ever allow or teach them any habits that you don,t want them to do forever because when they get bored they remember every habit that they ever knew true border collies are not house pets so it depends on how much border collie is in this dog as to if it will make a good house dog

MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE A BORDER COLLIE(BUDDY).
HE JUST TURNED ONE AND IS A GREAT HOUSE PET.
WE PUT A BELL ON THE BACK DOOR AND EVERYTIME WE TOOK HIM OUT TO GO TO THE BATHROOM WE RANG IT. AFTER ABOUT 3 WEEKS HE RANG IT HIMSELF. HE NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT IN THE HOUSE AND LOVES PLAYING WITH OTHER DOGS. HE LOVES BEING OUTSIDE, SO LET HIM OUT ON ALL OF THAT LAND YOU HAVE.
