How do you cable two switch's together?
There is an uplink port on each.
How are they supposted to be cabled together.
Which cable do you use, a patch or a cross-over cable?

You would use a cross-over cable.

If you are linking two 'normal' hub ports use a cross-over cable. However, its easier to use one 'uplink' port on switch 'A' and link it to a normal port on 'switch' B using a normal ethernet cable.

ofcourse st8 cable.
Remember below rule:-

1) Similar device- always cross cable
2) Not similar device- alway Cross cable

Exception:-
Now a days most of switches are doing this feature softwarely means doesn't matter what you are connecting cross or st8 cable.

sometimes straight through would also work.
so rather then asking questions go and have a hard work and find out yourself
