Can Story Circle prevent damage from a attacking silver knight equipped by lightning greaves?

I'd have to say, "yes" iff Stony Circle was declared as protection from white sources.  The equipment merely buffs the knight and does not deal damage on its own.  Therefore, all of the damage is being dealt by a white source [Silver Knight] instead of an artifact source [Lightning Greaves].  Granted, the Greaves give the knight protection from spells and abilities, but the ability from the circle does not affect the Knight, it affects the defender [you] by preventing the damage from the white source.
