I have 2 files.  First, is a list of usernames (end of line deliminated).  The second file is a listing of user account information (colon deliminated).  Herein lies the problem, I need to compare the 2 files and whichever user is not in the first file needs to be deleted from the second file.

How do I do this?  I can't join, comm, uniq, diff becuase the files are completely different (i.e., username ugadab and acct info ugadab:daihgaid8uw2:2456:202, etc).

Thank you for your time, any help is greatly appreciated.
