Iam sorry my last question wasnt very detailed (late night)anyway i was working on a job and when i walked into the kitchen all the recepticles were gfci'sso i took them out to see what the deal was and found that they were all hooked up independently. none ran off the load side so i took all of them off and hooked one gfi up and ran all  new outlets down stream from the load side everything worked great until i plugged something into them and then gfi popped no matter what  i plugged in it would pop so i checked all the wires and the panel i found no loose wire or touching wires. but when i did a test for continuity on the wires i found that when i touched the nuetral and groud it read had a complete circut. so i tried taking the ground off the gfi and that worked and didnt pop.but when i would test the downstream outlets it would pop until i took the ground off each outlet at a time i suspect a nail or something making a short in one of the wires what do you think ..thanks
