what might be the cause if PC does not boot after switching on ? No beeps will be heard. No replacement was required to solve this problem

I think a file or program needed to start the machine(PC) up has been deleted so you need to create a startup disk for the operating system you are using and use it to boot the machine

There are a couple possible reasons.Your power supply is bad, your memory is bad, your video card is bad, or you have a screw or metal piece touching with your motherboard inside your case that is causing it to ground out.

i have an IBM pc, and the message on the screen is the file asms on windows xp professional service pack 1 cd is needed
