We have picked a golden colored yellow lab pup out of a local litter.  They have a chocolate & a small light yellow that have blue eyes.  We just noticed today that the puppy we picked has a really dark blue eyes.  We thought they were brown until the light hit just right.  Is it possible to have other than brown eyes in labs?

I have 3 kids and we are considering a lab... as i was reading yellow labs seem to be playfully agressive! are black or chocolate labs better to have with kids..rather than a yellow?

My pure-bred Yellow Lab has the coloring referred to as "Dudley."  He has a pink nose, pink eye rims and green eyes (this coloring is much more common in Chocolate Labs).  His eyes were bright blue until he was about a year old.  This is not unheard of.

Hi, guys.
I'm Jen, a big fan of yellow labs\re. I just wanted to ask you in case you know someone who sells not very expensive yellow lab puppies and\or would like to give away a dog free of charge. I'm from Ukraine and they are extremely expensive here and, unfortunately, I can't afford myself a puppy.
Thanks in advance:)

We have an adult yellow lab. She was given to us - 3 months ago - she is the perfect pet. But when we leave the house for an hr or so - she gets so upset. Our groomer says she has separation upsets. She is not left very often as 1 of us is always home. What can we do to help her get through this? The groomer also offered an over the counter spray - that you find at the health food store. Any calming hints for our lovely lab would be appreciated.

My 12 yr old lab had allergies that mostly affected her the first 5 years of her life.  She once lost almost all her hair right before a field trial!  Other handlers would yank their dogs away from her as if the organizers would actually let a manged dog in the trial!  Yes we had a vet certification saying she was healthy.  She did well at the trial too.  We took her off all beef and it really helped.  In spring she was allergic to grass and had to take antihistamines, but she seemed to develop an immunity later in the summer.  She eventually was not too bothered by any allergies later in life.  Try your dog on lamb or chicken food.

I found this through a search engine, trying to find out if their were others who have blue eyed yellow labs, my black lab had pups and one of them has blue eyes. I wondered if this was rare or if the pup would be worth any more because of it. If any one knows let me know.
