My computer is running slow.  When I click on Settings - Control Panel - System - Performance, it says "compatability-mode paging reduces overall performance.  Windows was unable to identify a real mode driver or memory-resident program loaded in your config.sys or autoexec.bat file."  Config.sys is empty.  Autoexec.bat has one block checked for LH C:\windows\ASP4DOS.COM and one unchecked for SET BLASTER=A24015D1T4.  How do I locate and fix the problem?

click Start / Run / type command and press enter. In the MS-DOS window type cd\ to get to C:\> then type "ren autoexec.bat autoexec.ch" and "ren config.sys config.ch". This will rename your autoexec.bat and config.sys and help make sure memory is being optimized through Windows.
