How do you actually go about becoming a pagan, how do you worship, what do you do on particular dates etc.?

There are several hundred different pagan religions, so there's no one answer to "how do you worship" or "on what dates."

How one becomes pagan is just like any other religion: either you're raised in it, or you hear about it somewhere, decide it's interesting, and study books & talk to people about it, and go through whatever processes it takes to join the religion. Some have difficult requirements; others don't.

The most well-known form of modern paganism is Wicca; it celebrates lunar cycles (full & new moons), and 8 holy days called Sabbats around the year. Wiccans worship in a sacred circle, created new for each religious service.

To become pagan, you must look deep inside your heart and choose which path is right for you. You must love nature and want to live in harmony with mankind and love the Earth for all that She is. There are many rituals. Such as; praying, dancing, chanting, being thankful for every piece of food you eat, staring at a piece of grass for ten minutes to truly see it and many more. There are many different types of Pagans, so you just have to decide which one suits your belief best.
