I have a 88 Dodge Ram100 V6 TBI.It cranks but will not start. Have checked everything the book says to check and have finally removed the Hall Effect sensor and will put a new one on. My big problem is they say to check the ballast resister but I cant locate it on the fire wall or engine compartment. Can anyone tell me where it is located?

Loosen your exhaust manifold then try starting it. It could very well be a clogged exhaust. Your gonna kill yourself if it is!

Hey,
I think i have your amswer to your problem.  I have a dodge w/ a 318 and when i tried to start it it would crank all the time but would not start.  Finally i checked all of my grounds and wires and there was a ground not hooked up.  I hooked it up and it started up right away.
