I wish to adopt or rescue a Bull Mastiff breed or cross breed near Alberta Canada.
I always rescue dogs and do not want a puppy. Everyone loves puppies and how many are neglected or abandoned every year?? I would like any help in achieving my goal.

well you can get that perfect bull mastiff by searching for a bull mastiff rescue in your area. I was lucky enough to get a purebred Doberman at my county shelter though. Good Luck!

I adopted a 1.5 yo. Bull Mastiff/Siberian Huskey cross at our local Humane Sociaty 10/8/03. She is also brindle and the most beautiful and unique dog I've ever layed eyes on. She is most pleasant and locked eyes with mine at the shelter and howled quietly as if to ask if she could go home with us. Six months later and I can hardly get over what a good dog she is...well except for some digging.

I hope you found your Mastiff or cross. I  recommend these dogs whole heartedly!

I hope someone in this forum can HELP!!!!!- if you are still serious about rescuing a purebred Bull Mastiff - I am in the process of trying to rescue one right now.  It is being chained 24x7 to a boat trailer in Bellflower, CA in the hot sun with no housing and sometimes no water.  I gave it some yesterday.

I believe some young kids mistook this gentle giant for a "fighting dog" and tried to make money off of it.  It was recently bitten on the left side of face (no deformities, just wounds....) and it is suffering without medical attention.  If ANYONE knows of how/where I can rescue this dog PLEASE email me directly or CALL me as this dog (without medical attn) could suffer more.

I will try to seek medical attn but my resources are limited and I cannot keep a dog in my apartment.

The person keeping it right now chains it because he is trying to make it a guard dog for a car lot in  Bellflower, but he does not know how to treat this dog correctly. I told him I'd take it off his hands, but I truly do not have anyone/anyplace to put it.

Many thanks for any help,
Maria.....ps. please call or email me directly as I do not check these forums often (I'm not a dog owner myself, just a compassionate person who feels deeply as I see this dog suffering from neglect and apathetic treatment).

I'm in Cherokee County Georgia, and I work with the shelter here to place all types of '4 legged angels'

We have a need for a very special animal....she has been beaten, tail smashed, terrified of being beaten again and soooo wanting to find love.... She is on a very short list in terms of ....well you know....

Here is her description.....

Gucci (Bull mastiff mix according to owners, maybe with AB) is the
saddesst sweetest dog. She was turned in by her owner who claimed her
husband beat the dog EXCESSIVELY. Her little nubby tail is smashed
and flattened, I have never seen anything like it but she tries so hard
to wag it when she realizes you are nice. She shakes and shivers out of
fear you might beat her BUT is soo sweet when she realizes you wont.
I have never seen a big dog tremble in this manner.  She loves treats
and has sooo much potential to be a wonderful loving dog and to be
loved.  This dog deserves to know a loving home, NOT to be euthanised.
80 lbs, 4 yrs old. COlor of a weimeraner. Heartworm negative. Will be
vaccinated for rescue. TIME IS VERY LIMITED

I know of a bull mastiff in Rochester, NY which is a pure breed which needs a home right away before the current owner puts it down.  I believe it is less then 2 years old and is a pure breed.  I have been around it and it is an absolutely beautiful dog. I personally have many jack russell terriers and can't possibly take on this dog but do not want to see it die needlessly.  Please call 585-978-2369 if you can rescue this dog.

I have a 2 year old male Bull Mastiff named Boomer who is very much in need of a good home with plenty of room to run.  He loves children and sometimes thinks he's a lap dog.  We live in Central Florida and are hoping to find Boomer a good home.  He's pure bred and a great dog!

I have a beautiful bull mastiff/boxer mix.  I believe that she is about 5 years old.  She loves children, cats, and some other dogs (mostly submissive males).  Unfortunately, I have to give her up due to an illness I have.  She is the sweetest, most loving, and well-behaved dog I have ever had and it breaks my heart to have to part with her.  I have worked on training her and she is very smart.  She is also really mellow.  If anyone is interested, I live in Minnesota and can be reached at mudg0006@yahoo.com.

I would love to adopt an adult bull mastiff.  I am a single, soon to be fit 60 yr female with a large house, a large yard (over 5 acres which adjoins state forests).

I had to put my special lady (Golden) to sleep and need another dog to share my life.  I am not trying to get a replacement for my golden but a new dog, with its own personality.

I live in Connecticut but would be willing to travel to pick up the dog.

I had a Bull Mass for 9 1/2 years his name was Brutes, he was the love of our life, we just lost him 7 month's ago and it feels like we just lost him yesterday. he was the best dog we have ever had he was great with our kid's and he loved us just as much as we loved him, We have been looking for 5 month's now to find a new bull mass and every time we think we got one the SPCA will not let them be taken, because they send them to place's for bull mass only. I am having a really hard time finding a dog! I would like to find a male about 1 year or older but not to old, my vet told me that the most they live is 12 years, so i would like to find one that has a long time to go! I live in Maricopa Cali 40 miles from Bakersfield Cali, If there is any one that could help us find our new son you can find me at Pdoty31@hotmail.com or pdoty31@yahoo.com, myspace.com/pdoty31
