My four and a half month old Newfoundland puppy is breathing heavily and panting even when sleeping. He is drooling more than normal, doesn't have much energy and is basically not himself. We had a relatively long car trip today (hour and a half) but it wasn't overly hot. I have been searching the net for 2 hours but can't find anything. I will also add that he is teething and has awful breath. Do you have any ideas?

I'm searching all over the place for an answer to that question! My 18 month old Australian Shepherd has been breathing heavily all day. Could it be related to the fact that his pal of about 17 months left for good yesterday??
PLEASE help! I'm so worried about him :'(

I am having this problem with my 6 week old Husky.  When he sleeps his breathing becomes fast, it isn't hot in our room and everything else seems to be okay.  Like you guys I can't find any helpful info on-line either!
