MAKE SURE NOT TO FEED ANY SUGAR OR SODIUM. SKIN ALLERGIES CAN ALSO BE CAUSED FROM WHEAT, SOY,BEET, AND CORN, SO CHECK THE INGREDIENTS IN YOUR DOG FOOD. ALSO USING MEDICATED HEAD AND SHOULDERS HELP WITH SOME SKIN DISORDERS AND DEFINITELY REDUCE ANY CHANCE OF ALLERGIES TO YOUR PUP. ON A DIFFERENT NOTE, FOR ALL WHO HAVE SHIH TZU'SIF THEY REVERSE SNEEZE AND CANT STOP JUST TOUCH THEIR NOSE AND THEY WILL STOP.

I have a two-year-old Shih Tzu who has a reddish-brown tint on his moustache, on his neck, on the tips of his paws, and under his front legs.  My breeder thought that it might be red yeast; however, my veterinarian found only a small amount of yeast on the slide that she took.  She prescribed Benadryl and gave me some medicated pads for the areas between his toes and between his foot pads.  I have had him on Benadryl and the other medication for approximately one week; however, I have noticed only a slight lessening of the reddish-brown tint to his hair.  He also had been licking his feet often, yet he now does not lick them very often.  I am wondering if he may be allergic to something, because his nose runs quite often.  Would you please provide me with any advice that you may have?  I would really appreciate it.
