1999 Cirrus brakes rattle when driving over rough road surfaces.  If you ride the brake the noise stops.  Same problem with new brakes after a few miles of wear.  So loud you can hear with windows closed.

I have a 98 dodge stratus ES and I had the front rotors and brake pads changed, and they rattled....I took it back and found out the guy installed "after-market" brake pads which don't fit the brackets right, they're too loose, which is the loud rattle you're probably hearing. You can either take it back and have them put clips on to hold it, or get the brake pads that fit that specific car, but you need to get them from Chrysler. Good luck. My car is now fine with clips.
