What dose it mean when a dogs gums are swollen and black and over the gum.Thanks Pepis.

Ummm it generally means that your pet has gum disease or serious teeth problems and could be in serious pain. I suggest you take her to the vet ASAP

~whitish gums may indicate that your pet is anemic or in shock.  
  
~Bluish gums may suggest your pet is not getting enough oxygen to his bloodstream - he may not be breathing properly or have a circulatory problem  

~Dark red or muddy-looking gums can indicate health problems
  
!!!Contact a veterinarian immediately if your pet shows any of these abnormalities!!!

what disease is it.  I think they would know if the dog was in serious pain.  you don't have to be a know it all.
