Ummm it generally means that your pet has gum disease or serious teeth problems and could be in serious pain. I suggest you take her to the vet ASAP

~whitish gums may indicate that your pet is anemic or in shock. ~Bluish gums may suggest your pet is not getting enough oxygen to his bloodstream - he may not be breathing properly or have a circulatory problem ~Dark red or muddy-looking gums can indicate health problems !!!Contact a veterinarian immediately if your pet shows any of these abnormalities!!!

what disease is it. I think they would know if the dog was in serious pain. you don't have to be a know it all.
