I'm 14, i got my nose pierced about 9 weeks ago .. and ill say one thing, make sure you really wanted and you can take care of it, i took care of mine just as directed and it still got "the bump" which is horribly ugly, plus i don't know about you but i like the flatter studs, and for a long time i had a huge metal ball coming out of my nose from what they pierced it with.. the nose isn't very clean so most people do have a problem with it healing ..so make sure you really want it, i know most people would take it out after all the trouble, but i figured i payed and went through with it and I'm not gonna waste it.. its healing up really nice now, but only since i took out the screw and but in a bone kinda ( i did it early but it only helped ) good luck with your piercings and yes.. your getting a needle pushed through your skin thats taking out a chunk of flesh, it is going to hurt a bit, but for the nose, i wouldn't say its bad..

hey kids, I'm a graduate of UCLA Medical School. I worked in the PSNPE, Parent Safty Net Piercing Emerg for 10 months. And this is my story: One day a girl, about 13 i would say rushed in on a strecher. Now I can't tell you exactly what happened but I can tell you this. She had her right nostrel PIERSED. Now I can tell you I've never seen anything like this. Yes, she was in pain. How much you ask? Well, just about as much as it would to get your left nostrel peirced. Well luckily I am able to tell you she lived throught the experiance and the worst her parents could do was take it out and ground her. And yes just like the other 86.59% of the population that has had their nose peirced, it healed and sealed un....noticed! thanx, daRockinDock

well i wanted my nose pierced so badly no one has any idea....well my mom was all for it except she was afraid it might leave a scar when im older and want it out...so i was shopping and saw these these nifty little rhinestones if anyone is interested in a stud...u get some glue..(they have body glue) or even nail glue...ask before u use it to make sure its ok...then dab it on the back and stick it where u want it...personally im liken this better....from all the storys ive heard about pimples and swelling and scaring i like this ALOT better...you can change it when ever and even better...no scar...and if u can get your nose pierced...hey do what ever u want..u got the power u should keep the power.. i dont think its normal to get your nose peirced with a nail but alls well that ends well. ive only heard of using a needle. anyway im getting my nose peirced this summer and im so excited. im thirteen and dont even lecture me about bin too young and not thinkin enough about it and all. my mom said i can do it only if i find out about it and think about it for a year first (i asked last summer). si im pretty well informed. and i just cant wait. so far some of the things i found out were that it doesnt hurt that much (but i dont really care bout that cause im really good with pain and even if it hurt as much as when i broke my arm clear-through i want it so bad id still do it!) and that it doesnt leave a scar most of the time and im not sure if you can take it out or not once it healed. so if you have any corrections for me or suggestions or comments or facts or anything than tell me ASAP casue times awaisting!

Hey ya'll I got my nose done on both sides, it hurt like anything but I done it. At first its just like a little pinch, then its sore for a few weeks, but its not half as bad as gettin the top of your ear done --In the cartilage-- I have my ears done three times on both sides, so I know what Im talkin about when I say, There isn't much to gettin your nose done. Clean it regularly with peroxide, not alcohol, and you'll be fine. It doesnt always leave a scar, but you may get one! I got mine ALL done with a gun, its ALOT better! It faster and hurts less, its still not outlawed in alot of places, so go for it! Bumps are VERY normal, I had them on both sides... They eventually go away! I think That 13-14 are too young to have any exotic piercings. My parents told me no when i asked them if could get my belly button pierced. So I decided i wanted my nose pierced. I did it myself with an earing and it has never been infected and im 16 now. I finally got my belly button done by a friend of mine who owns a tatto shop. my mom couldnt Belive i did it but. I got grounded for 2 weeks. Well Know I'm 16 and I have my nose done my belly button Done, my Tounge done and my eyebrow. and I have 12 holes in my ears on each side. They told me if I pierced anything or dyed my hair any coloful colors like pink blue or green, they'd kick me out. And well they didn't and i have everything pierced like i wanted. I think you should be at least 15-17 if you want to get something pierced.

I have some advice for the young ones wanting to pierce their nose. I am contemplating a nose ring myself (I'm 19) but I think it's really important to think it through for a while. Some things to consider are the fact that it will be there for life. It is central in your ace and cannot be easily hidden for job interviews, etc. If you decide later in life that it doesn't suit you anymore, then you may be left with a scar on your nose, and have many regrets. I think it is best to stick with ear piercing and navel, as you can hide these easily with your hair or shirts. Also remember that society sadly IS prejudice, and WILL judge you based on your piercing. It could hold you back from getting professional jobs, or creating good rapports with authority.

asking advice is all good and well... but... please do a google search and get some info from a reputable source. i could say the sky is green, and, if you had never seen the sky, you would have no idea that that's not true. same thing here -- i could say anything, but, since you are asking, you wouldn't know if it's misinformed or blatantly wrong. so please. do some research, you're about to stick some metal through your face. that's no small deal. especially when you're young. things to check out for yourself -- your school's policy on facial piercings, needles vs guns, healing times, what can go wrong (and take this seriously), what problems look like so you can identify them, what to do/where to go if something goes awry, what to look for in a piercist, what questions to ask your potential piercist (and don't be bashful about asking. it's your face.), what your parents think (yes. don't even not do this, it is important). google can help you out, as can your doctor and piercist.

Hey I'm 14 and thinkin bout gettin nose pierced. My mom is fine with it and my dad is still thinkin bout it. I just want the smallest nose piercing like kelly osbourne or kelly clarkson. i want it that small. but anyways here r my questions that have been asked quite a few times on here 1. If you take out the nose piercing for quite a while will it leave a noticable scar? Like if i decide when im 25 or so to finally take it out will it leave an ugly hole that some1 can notice miles away? haha 2. Do you have to clean it as long as you keep it in your nose? or after a certain amount of days of cleanin it you dont have to anymore? like your ear 3. Which is better? the gun or needle? and how long is the needle? 4. Can you sleep with your nose piercing and take a shower with it in your nose? 5. Does it matter on the thicknes of the nose on how much it hurts cuz i got a pretty thick fat nose. THX for listening!

I don't have any answers for any of u. but i really need to know whats: GOOD about getting your nose pierced. and whats: BAD about getting you nose pierced. I want to know. Wait i do have an answer. Trying to confince your parents tell them that you were thinking about getting something pierced tell them you did a lot of research and you do want to get your belly button pierced because your still growing and it wouldnt be something that would be could because your skin grows with you. and you dont know what it could do and you should take the risk because if you got it infected and you might not be able to have kids(gurls) hah. N e ways. and then be like nose is the best thing i could think of that is resonable. It works trust me

When i was 13 was when i got my belly button pierced and 7 holes in my ear..that thing gets your addicted, so when i turned 15 i got a tattoo on my lower back, but it is not straight , so becarful b4 u get one. go to a place where they are really good. also when i was 15 i got my nose pierced, now im 17 but about 6 months ago, while i was sleeping it feel out, i was waiting for it to totally close, and it is closed, but it left a dark scar. So if the holes in your ears normally get infected, i recomnend for you not to get your nose pierced, bcause if one day you want to take off, it might leave a scare on your nose for the rest of your life.! Now all i want to do, is repierce it so it will cover the scar.... just an adivice

Waz sup yall im 16 n im getin my nose periced ova da summa n if ur tryin 2 convince ur parents go to them sepretly so u get 2 diffrent reactions cuz by now u can read ur parents like a book if thay say no u cry scream n go nuttz or point out that all ur freindz r gettin therez done 2 n show them wat u r talkin bout. Ex. a lil flat stud dat u can barely see. thell eventully brake down but it might take some time. Ooo n make sure u want it cuz it takes 8 weeks n alot of cleanin n if u eva discide that u wanna take it out just know that it depends on da person it might n might not scare if it dose scare u can use bleachin cream 2 take da color away. Well I've been trying to convince my mom into letting me get it done! She was cool about it at first but then people were telling her not to let me so now she doesn't want me to! She was going to do it herself till my bro said he would disown her so she isn't now... Also some of my guy friends said it's ugly and i think it's hot but i guess their not into that sorta thing. I'm only 13 but I'm positive i want it done but it's the convincing my parents part that's tricky... But I always have years ahead of me to get it done. Oh yeah and one of the reasons my mom doesn't want me to get it done they say it looks like you have a blackhead on your nose when your not wearing your earring is that true? okay.. getting your nose pierced doesn't hurt at all. its just like someone flicking you i the nose when your least not expecting it. but it really all depends on your pain intollerence. if you can control a lot of pain, then its going to hurt A LOT. but if you can take getting a needle, then you can make it. see, i got my nose pierced, and under a week later, my nose stud almost came out, i couldn't get it back in so i let it close up. but I'm going to go and get it re-pierced because it didn't hurt as much, and i want it done again, because i love piercings and thats the only one I'm allowed with. but getting your nose pierced is a big responability to handle. You can't touch your nose at all during the day, or even play with it, unless if your hands were carefully cleaned, and your about to clean the piercing. fresh piercings tend to heal much faster if it hasnt been given enough time to heal. so its best to leave it in for about 6-9 weeks. people thinks thats pathetic, if your friends tell you to change it 2 weeks later, DONT. its stupid. dont take other peoles advise. only take your professional-piercers advise, so not listen to others. especially if they don't know anything about piercings, compared to the person that professionally pierced you nose, or whatever.

Hey everybody , im 15 , and im a piercing addidct , till now i have 6 in my ears , a nose piercing , and a belly piercing ,my belly piercing i did it when i was 12 , but my nose is new , just 14 days ago i did it , and im so scared if it will get infected , tell me please, how do i know thats its healing , and do i clean it from the inside? i used a solution for 10 days , and now i have to wash the piercing with soap twice day , I hate it :( somehow i regret my nose piercing , i wish i did my eyebrow instead , because the eyebrow stud is shown on both sides , so the cleaning wont be hard as the nosepiercing , by the way, when i pierced my nose , the next day , when i woke up ,my tummy hurt alot and i threw up two times ! i hope that its not related to the piercing. add my email if u want : cool_rap_girl_2@hotmail.com ( i know that the email is very stupid :P )

ok.....well hi everyone! I'm almost 13 and I want my nose pierced. My dad said if I wear it in his house (my parents are divorced) he will rip it out of my nose(he wont literally but he'll make me take it out). My mom said its more of a high school thing but thats why I want it now! I don't want to be part of the "in crowd" . What's the point?All that happens to you is people criticizing you and saying you won't fit in. I want to be different and I think that piercing my nose -before school starts- will help me set up my personality. I'm kind of smart so some people call me a nerd i guess but I'm not! Plus the people at my school (especially the girls) are really judge-mental so if I show up in the middle of the year (especially with my social status) with a nose piercing my social life will be even more crappy and people will think I'm just doing it to fit in but I'm not. That's also why I want it before someone else at my school gets it. So......how do I convince my mom and dad??? hey people i am 22 and i just got my nose pierced today and it's none of my business but i think that if you're that young you should wait til you're at least 16. i have two tats and a navel piercing and three holes in my ears. but to be honest with you if you get something that young just because it's a fashion right now you should wait cause if i did everything that was a fashion when i was your age then it would really be sick but if you do decide to get it done just hold off on the tongue ring cause if any of you can't stand pain you will never be able to stand the pain of getting your tongue pierced.BTW it doesn't hurt at first just when they stick the needle in but remember to breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth and don't forget that cause it will hurt less. and make sure you have a full stomach cause when your stomach is full you can handle pain better.cause your system is better ok well bye peeps

Well ur all asking how to convince your parents. My mom doesn't really care if I get my nose pierced but if you want to then just tell ur parents then it's nothing illegal or immoral and you wont all of a sudden become a bad person because of it. Tell ur parents that they should let you rebel in small ways instead of doing drugs and sleeping with every guy you meet. If you already do those things then u should thank your parents for not killing u instead of asking them for things but if u dont do those things then tell your parents it's not gonna change you. Hopefully u can all understand what i'm talking about, lol, sometimes I don't even understand myself, lol. My friend got her nose pierced and she said it hurt but they do it so fast so she said it hurt her more the next day. She said she got a headache from it but after that it's mostly fine, just remember to clean it.

Ok the answers to all ur questions lol... A nose piurceings takes 4-6 weeks to heal, When u get it done it is better to do it with a needle, Unless ur renst say they want a gun, but the needle with take the skin out insted of pushing the skin aside. if u take out ur nose ring it will close up, It will scar, BUT it iwll not be a big one...NOW...If yall have questions about the prople cleaning email me ur questions at jessbutts12@hotmail.com AND if u are 13 or w/e u SHOULD NOT be getting piercings....Rite now ur really Young and that crap, u have alot of time to grow up give it a few years and stuff u still wanna have funna and mess around, pierceings are very serious things...U can't mess around with them in ur body, u can't were sertan clothes depending on the pierceing, and YES THEY LEAVE SCARS, THEY HURT to sum extent and THE WHOLES CLOSE...Now guys for real think this over before u go and make wholes in ur body. hi i am 13 n wanted my nose pierced for years and now i really want it. i am aware that it will hurt but my ears really hurt because the lady didn't do it properly. she did it really slow n stopped half way through i was nearly crying and squeezed my mum really hard so i think it wont hurt as much as ears for me but it will look really pretty. i understand that you have to clean it alot and i will keep on top of that. but i'mscared if i'mallergic to it. how do i check if i'mallergic to it?y mum doesn't know weather to let me because she doesn't want it to go wrong. my mum had hers done at a young age and likes them. my mum has took hers out and you can't tell that she has had it done theres no scaring that i can see anyway and her nose looks normal. does any one know where you can get your nose done in leyland in england. i am 13 x.X.x

hello to all of you guys who are interested in getting a nose pierced or who already has it done, well as for me i just got it done two days ago, been wanting it badly since the age of 12,i even used to fake it by putting in a very small hoop ring..now i finally have it, i will tell you it is the best thing to do by researching the most you can before getting it..i do believe regardless of anything to get it done strictly by needle and get a ring not a stud preferably in a tattoo shop..now finally at the age of 22 i got my first fetish which was a nosering...looks really good, healing really good and over all if your planning on getting a professional job, i do advise you all to get it 8 months prior to your profession, due to the fact of giving it time to heal properly and when you can, you can take it out without it closing up on you..think about it..i mean really think about it. If you have recently gotten it pierced, please take good care of it as if it was your little pet, because it requires all the care it needs for it to heal very proper..good luck to all you nose piercing fetishers

Hey Guys, every one I talk to says two things... it hurts more then your ears or it hurts less then your ears... I think its up to your body and your nerves and the vary spot you get it done ( I.E if its higher or your nose or lower ) I have heard that if you get it done on the right side of your nose it helps with cramps and it makes having a baby less painful, I have no clue of this it true or not. there are two ways to get your nose pierced, with a piercing gun and a needle... If you don't like pain and you are wimpy you should think about the gun, the gun was made for your ears and it may go faster but it will leave a bigger scar... Sorry I cant tell you anyways to get your mom or dad to let you get it done, my mom has no prob with letting me do it... hope I helped you can go to - http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/public-health/ehb/general/skinpen/fs_nose.pdf - Its just some facts you may want to look at be for you get it done... bye

LISTEN: hi im 12 years old i have my belly button, nose, and 3 ear piercings on each ear pierced... ok well out of all of them the one that hurts the most is defenitely by far the BELLY BUTTON! getting it done on the bottom hurts the most the top not as bad but anywayz you guys if you want to get into performing arts then i suggest that you don't get your nose done because it puts some people off, like the impression like im a singer/actress and i attend regular acting workshops and classes etc but like alot have turned me down because of my piercing and they said that i have to take it out. Well i have and it's closed up and it's kind of scard! just you guyz wait until your al least in your 20's now im not being old fashioned here... it's just that first of all your not allowed a nose piercing at basically any high school/intermediate school because of the uniform code they have. Just wait! Whats the hurry! If you want it done in a couple of years STILL then maybe consider getting your belly button done or another ear piercing... it looks way better and not as tarty... who are you trying to impress anywayz! anyway email me for anymore enquires on sequentialbabe@hotmail.com

I have had numerous piercings and tattoos, and I am going to be straight forward with you, the nose is the most painful piercing. It doesn't hurt after it's done, just when it's being done. Do not let someone lie to you and tell you it doesn't hurt, because it does. If you want to get a nose piercing and your parents won't let you, you should respect their wishes. I am 24 years old and didn't get any piercings until I moved out of my parents house, I got my first tattoo at 17, with my parents approval, of course. Trust me, you can wait until you are old enough to do it without their approval. It will give you a chance to make sure you really want it, and it's not just a fad. What ever you do, do not pierce your nose with a gun. There are so many problems with piercing guns. Have it done by a piercer. They will pierce it in the right place, they are alot more cleaner, and generally know more about taking care of piercings. To those that want belly button rings: They are cute, I know. But you need to know, belly rings are the hardest to keep clean. You belly button is one of the dirtiest places on your body. They can take years to heal. When you are cleaning any piercings use dial gold antibacterial soap bars. Do not use the liquid simply because the percentage of antibacterial is higher in bars than it is in liquid soaps. And dial has no perfumes, if you are allergic to it, you can use ivory soap. Hope everyones piercings work out.==-Melissa-Jean

Hey everyone. I agree with the girls that said that you should wait until your older to get a nose piercing. I am 16 now and I asked my parents when i am 15 if I could get my nose pierced. They said I could on my 16th b-day. I still haven't got it done yet. But I will sometime or another. lol. I got my navel pierced on my 15th b-day. I am so... surprised at the parents that let their 13 and 14 year old daughters get their nvels and noses pierced! I know I am not that older than you guys... but.. when you think about it.. you are in junior high. you will be looked at differntly. -not in a good way- I like what you said Indiangirl... if your that bored... go read a book. and... everyone taked pain diffrently.. but think about it... it's not nature to have holes in your body... so.. yeah it's not gonna fell normal. it's a needle going through your flesh. So it will probally hurt. Just think it out before you go and get pierced. esspecially when your younger. You could risk having a bad reputation. if you choose too Good Luck :)
